ERROR OGG-00446 – Unable to lock file “*” (error 11, Resource temporarily unavailable).

GoldenGate 12c was running over NFS filesystem and had unexpected stop then when it try starts take OGG-00446.

ERROR OGG-00446 Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, e_crm01.prm: Unable to lock file “/mnt/ggate/dirchk/MYCRM.cpe” (error 11, Resource temporarily unavailable).

Here the solution:
Move the file /mnt/ggate/dirchk/MYCRM.cpe to
/mnt/ggate/dirchk/MYCRM.cpe_backup

Then copy /mnt/ggate/dirchk/MYCRM.cpe_backup to
/mnt/ggate/dirchk/MYCRM.cpe

I can’t understand why Oracle keeps this stupid bugs on 12c.

GoldenGate – exclude Oracle database thread#

Your Oracle database instance status changed , so you need to dismiss some thread# on GoldenGate.

SQL> select INST_ID,thread#,status from gv$thread;

INST_ID THREAD# STATUS
———- ———- ——
1                   1                OPEN
1                   2               CLOSED

Try to insert ‘THREADOPTIONS PROCESSTHREADS EXCEPT X’ on your GoldenGate PRM file.
Where X means thread# instance want to ‘exclude’.

It may cause data loss.

Recursive string change

 

You want recursive change one string to another, it’s simple, you need a list with full file name path called ‘output_list’, and run command bellow:

cat output_list|while read line;
do
cp -p $line $line.bkp;
cat $line |sed ‘s/SOURCE_STRING/TARGET_STRING/g’ > $line.bkp && mv $line.bkp $line;
done

Keep in mind it’s a DANGEROUS command, double check your file list, and if necessary,  make a full backup from you system.

It will run on UNIX(ES) and Linux.

Quickly change Weblogic to Production Mode

You were running away to deploy your newest project on Weblogic 12c and lately discover  that you made your environment as development mode (OPSSSS =/)

Quickly set check box ‘Production mode’ on your domain tab.

It will be necessary to bounce Weblogic server.

Access denied on GoldenGate Manager

After apply GoldenGate fix 12.1.2.1.10 on GoldenGate for Oracle Databases 11G getting error below during GoldenGate Director Server access:

ggserr.log: WARNING OGG-00936 Oracle GoldenGate Manager for Oracle, mgr.prm: Access denied (request from 10.1.1.10, rule #4).
To allow a remote Director server connection, you must add in the ./GLOBALS:
_DISABLEFIX21427144
_DISABLE21427144

OGG-01934 Datastore repair failed, OGG-01931Datastore ‘dirbdb’ cannot be opened

 

After change GoldenGate 12c to ACFS filesystem, got eternal WARNING OGG-01931, even Datastore is created:
WARNING OGG-01931 Oracle GoldenGate Manager for Oracle, mgr.prm: Datastore ‘dirbdb’ cannot be opened. Error 2 (No such file or directory).

Complete solution steps to resolve the issue on SHARED FILESYSTEM:
1. Login to ggsci prompt and stop all OGG processes including jagent and manager
2. Run “delete datastore” command. Confirm delete of datastore
3. Run “CREATE DATASTORE SHM” command
4. Start all OGG processes; start manager, start *, start jagent

ON GGSCI CREATE DATASTORE SHM [ID n]
Indicates that the data store should use System V shared memory for interprocess communications.
