Oracle Machine Learning For Python (OML4Py) Workshop

Dear Valued Partner ,

We would like to invite you to our event “Oracle Machine Learning For Python (OML4Py) Workshop” on the 25th of November 2021.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning have become increasingly necessary for enterprises to translate today’s data into direct business value. This course introduces learners to the basic concepts of AI/ML, using a mix of engaging lectures and hands-on activities to help you navigate the first steps in this exciting field. The exercises present real world use cases that show how Oracle is actively helping companies maximize business benefits through AI and ML.

This hands-on workshop focuses on Oracle Machine Learning for Python (OML4Py) which enables AI and ML capabilities of the Oracle Database in conjunction with the popular Python programming language and Jupyter notebooks. You will learn to apply machine learning concepts and algorithms to solve real-world problems ranging from data acquisition and feature engineering, to creating ML models and tuning for optimal results.

Oracle DevLab: Using a Data Mesh to connect the data of traditional applications with Microservices

In this hands-on lab we will be using the principles of a Data Mesh to connect the data of a traditional monolithic application using a relational database, and link it towards a series of JSON based Microservices that consume this information, coupled via a Data Pump running on GoldenGate. We will showcase the principles of Data Domains, each responsible for its own data, and managing it like a product, a common Data Platform, and the management and governance of such a platform.

During the lab you will set up the various components of this architecture : an Autonomous database with multiple schema’s to represent the various Data Domains, an OCI GoldenGate instance to manage the data transition between the different domains, and a few sample applications (a “monolith” and a few microservices) so you can see the data flows come to life.

We’ll also illustrate how you can extend this architecture to include Data Analytics and Kafka Event streams in order to have the complete architectural picture.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as foundational base of Multicloud strategy

Dear Valued Partners,

Much like the heterogeneous environments in the data center, customers are increasingly choosing multiple clouds as they recognize that different vendors have different areas of strength. That means most enterprise configurations are working with requirements from different providers so the right strategy for flexible interoperability and accessibility requires the right mix of options.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure can be the foundational piece to a successful Multicloud environment. The webinar will review the potential integration points of OCI and other cloud providers with examples and demonstrations. Agenda for this session is as a mixture of both technical and business topics including:

  • Multicloud challenges and enablers
  • OCI Multicloud framework
  • OCI cloud interoperability examples
  • Multicloud in practice:
    • Using on-premises Oracle licenses in different cloud environments
    • VPN connection between Azure and OCI
    • MS AD integration and OCI Identity Management

Oracle Virtual Event: The Modern Data Warehouse

Unlock the value in data with Oracle’s Modern Data Warehouse
Data is a critical resource for every organisation, and maximising its value requires a modern approach to data management. In this briefing, we will cover the challenges customers face when trying to ingest, consolidate, catalogue, secure and analyse large amounts of data from multiple sources. We will talk about new cloud capabilities, such as autonomous and data science services, that are making it easier for organisations to manage and extract value from their data.

USE CASE
At the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments, probe the fundamental structure of the universe. CERN is managing over 1 PB of historical data in an object storage data lake and the control systems at CERN generate a further 2.5TB of data per day that is loaded into Autonomous Data Warehouse. Learn how CERN use machine learning to analyse IoT sensor data and predict potential maintenance issues. You will also learn how the Modern Data Warehouse and automation enable CERN to manage this complex and growing project with a small team.

Upgrade to Oracle Database 19c and Ensure Performance Stability

Every customer needs to upgrade to Oracle Database 19c, especially since all previous Oracle Database releases are either already out of any bug fixing support or just a few months away from it. With Oracle AutoUpgrade, database upgrades have never been easier. AutoUpgrade allows you to run your upgrades unattended, in parallel and does not require extra work. AutoUpgrade will even automate your potential move to the CDB architecture, especially as you can have 3 user-created PDBs since Oracle 19c without Multitenant license. But we all know that the crucial part is not the upgrade itself but to ensure performance stability after upgrade. Nobody wants unexpected surprises.

In this hands-on workshop the Oracle Database Upgrade and Migration team will guide you through the upgrade to Oracle Database 19c but will make you familiar with all the performance stability and tuning features to ensure everything runs as smoothly as before. The workshop will be a combination of presentations and hands-on work done by you.
