AustriaAfter this long period of online events we want to put the upcoming AOUG User Conference 2022 (18. - 19. May, Conference Day 19th of May) under the motto "Back to live"! The event will be a hybrid event, i.e. you can either give your presentation live on our stage or via the online video feed into our event hall. Both are possible and we are already looking forward to your participation and presentations.

This day is all about PostgreSQL - the world's most advanced open source database. Take the opportunity to meet with other people interested in PostgreSQL in Belgium. Beside the talks we offer the chance to network during the day. The event is suitable for everybody, from first-time users, students, to experts and from clerks to decision-makers. This session will discuss testing carried out for two Oracle Database In-Memory use cases with Intel Optane PMem running in both Memory Mode (PMem-MM) and in App Direct Mode (PMem-AD) on a standard X-86 server. The goal of the testing was to determine if PMem technology can provide an alternative option to traditional DRAM and to other fast tiered storage disks in a Database In-Memory environment.
