Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2 Day Deep Dive

This event will not only help you enrich your knowledge in deep technical features of OCI but will also allow a unique chance to hear from the OCI Product Management & Engineering staff that’s pioneering the next generation of cloud at Oracle.

Following the delivery of the technical sessions, we will offer all attendees the opportunity to take the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate exam (1Z0-932) and earn your OCI Associate Certification.

During this event, you will engage directly with our OCI Product Team to learn about the latest services available on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and how to apply them. This technical training will allow your architects and engineers to learn how-to’s and shared best practices for how to utilize OCI to build successful, repeatable customer implementations. This will include live hands-on labs, and technical sessions on solutions/use cases such as Apps Unlimited and Oracle Database migration and Automation to prepare your teams to build with OCI.

Be prepared, and make the most of your time

A little preparation will go a long way. On-line learning is available here, and we encourage you to invest just a few hours in pre-event preparation to learn the fundamentals of OCI. The modules can be taken all at once, or split into multiple 20-minutes sessions to allow you to take the training at your pace. An investment in this pre-event training will help you come to the event with a working knowledge of OCI, prepared to dig deeper into concepts and features, and accelerate your learning toward certification.

Oracle Hands on Lab: E-Business Suite to OCI

Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Basic Boot Camp

The goal of this implementation boot camp is to educate and make Oracle Partners aware of Oracle Communications Session Border Controller basic installation and configuration concepts. After taking this course, Oracle Partners should be enabled to bid for SBC projects with a degree of confidence as far as the installation and configuration is concerned.

What we will cover

This Boot Camp provides an overview of the features and functions of the Oracle Communications Session Border Controller (SBC) and an introduction to the installation and configuration concepts. It focuses on SBC platform, designed to protect, centralize, manage, route and enhance the signaling and media protocols used in an enterprise communications network.

Learn to
  • Describe the SBC and the SIP-based network challenges that it solves
  • Describe the primary functions of the SBC: purpose, features, benefits, architecture, and operation
  • Perform Initial and Setup procedures on a new SBC
  • Configure an SBC to perform its primary functions: plan and create common configurations
  • Operate and maintain an SBC solution and test basic functionality: deployment models (Peering and Access-Backbone)
  • Access and use the troubleshooting tools: use Acme Command-Line Interface (ACLI) commands
Prerequisites

To be approved for this training session, you must meet the two mandatory prerequisites below and send before June 1st the required documents to communications-enablement_ww@oracle.com.

  1. Register for a session at http://pearsonvue.com/oracle for Oracle Communications Session Border Controller 7 Basic Implementation Essentials (1Z0-404) certification exam.
  2. Pass one of the two online presales tests below using your OPN account, and send a copy of your certificate to communications-enablement_ww@oracle.com. For access issues, please open a ticket in the Partner Help portal.

Note that partner participation approval depends on meeting prerequisites and that the event may be rescheduled/cancelled according to internal business reasons.

The CityShark Project – How drones and Oracle Cloud aid cleaning up the oceans

How do we utilize tech for the environment and create a more sustainable future? The rapid development of environmental issues (climate change, air and water pollution etc.) create the need for innovative ideas that can match the gravity and fluidity of these problems. This webinar is dedicated to uncovering the motivations and technology behind the project codenamed CityShark by the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Utilities that enlists sailing and aerial drones to help identify and clean up liquid and solid waste from the Port of Aarhus.

Join this webinar and hear Martin Skjold Grøntved, Special Consultant at the “Danish Agency for Data Supply and Efficiency (SDFE) – Office for Data and Green Transition Technologies” present this exciting project in a live interview with Ingrid Mjøen, Country Manager at Oracle Danmark.

As aerial drones fly over oil spills, trash deposits, and other floating debris in the Danish deep-sea port, they send signals to sailing drones below, instructing them to clean up the waste and deliver it to a nearby sanitation facility. This leads to a highly scalable solution that can be exported globally and help keep plastic and oils out of the oceans to protect the life below water. Using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) high-performance computing (HPC), waste is identified and collected in public waterways, helping to provide a cleaner environment.

Cleaning up oceans, harbors, and rivers can take a lot of time, require a ton of effort, and cost a lot of money, so efforts like CityShark are testing the use of drone imaging, AI analytics, and high-performance cloud (HPC) computing to help the process. With OCI HPC, they can survey the entire harbor, process the images, and complete their analysis in a single flight.
