When trying to start or increase parallel of recover manager on datagauard (MRP):
SQL> ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE USING CURRENT LOGFILE DISCONNECT FROM SESSION; ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE USING CURRENT LOGFILE DISCONNECT FROM SESSION; * ERROR at line 1: ORA-01153: an incompatible media recovery is active
I simply happen because there already are a process runnning, let’s check:
SQL> select PROCESS,CLIENT_PROCESS,THREAD#,SEQUENCE#,BLOCK# from v$managed_standby where process = 'MRP0' or client_process='LGWR'; PROCESSÂ Â CLIENT_PÂ Â Â THREAD#Â SEQUENCE#Â Â Â Â BLOCK# --------- -------- ---------- ---------- ---------- MRP0Â Â Â Â Â N/AÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 1Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 26Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 0
If you want to change it, it’s just stop it first and then start with the clauses you want:
SQL> alter database recover managed standby database cancel; Database altered. SQL> ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE USING CURRENT LOGFILE DISCONNECT FROM SESSION; Database altered.
