On the first day, HrOUG will host the Oracle Groundbreaker Tour in which the Rock-Star Lecturer will give lectures on Oracle current topics.

At the HrOUG conference we expect lectures on the following topics for the group:

  • Database and infrastructure,
  • Development and Middleware,
  • Data analysis and AI,
  • Strategy and innovation,
  • Best practices and success stories

Of course, we are also preparing an excellent informal part for HrOUG in which you will be able to talk to colleagues from the profession in a relaxed atmosphere, but also listen to a good concert or popular stand-up show. The participants were never hungry or thirsty at HrOUG conferences, so we expect the same approach again this year.

The participants were never hungry or thirsty at JavaCro conferences, so we expect the same approach again this year.

Spring HROUG 2022

Prošle godine smo junački proslavili veliku obljetnicu, 25. HrOUG konferenciju. Sada je vrijeme da se krene dalje, pa vam je ove godine HrOUG pripremio zanimljivu novost i iznenađenje.

U 2022. godini ćemo organizrati dvije HrOUG konferencije:

1. prvu u svibnju u Tuhelju, a

2. drugu u listopadu u Rovnju

Mnogi sudionici su nam rekli kako je vremenski razmak od cijele jedne godine između dvije konferencije često predug period u kojem tehnološki napredak ne posustaje, već naprotiv, u međuvremenu se pojavi veći broj novosti koje se ne stignu predstaviti u kraće vrijeme nakon objave ili se stavljaju “na čekanje” do sljedeće konferencije.

Osim toga, jedna godišnja konferencija često je opterećena s mnogo predavanja u različitim dvoranama u isto vrijeme pa neka kvalitetna predavanja ne dođu do izražaja ili su stavljena na listu čekanja.

Stoga je naša ideja da godišnje održimo ne jednu nego dvije HrOUG konferencije, jednu u proljeće (Novo !!!), a drugu (tradicionalno) u jesen, kako bi mogli dobiti bržu i primjereniju razmjenu informaciju te pravovremeni prijenos novosti, a na taj način bi se moglo prihvatiti i veći broj predavanja. Osim toga, naša želja je posvetiti više vremena na konferenciji najboljim rješenjima iz prakse tzv. “Best practices & success stories” i razmjeni iskustava.

HrOUG konferencija poznata je ne samo po izvrsnim predavanjima i predavačima, nego i po kvalitetnom i korisnom druženju u manje formalnim trenucima i u zabavnoj atmosferi, u kojoj se često lakše ostvaruju kontakti među sudionicima, kao i razmjena znanja i iskustava, što će ostati naša praksa i u budućnosti. Vrlo često su baš ti razgovori i izravni kontakt svih sudionika i predavača, rezultirali bržem i boljem rješavanju problema i tehnološkoj optimizaciji rješenja, ali i uspostavi vrlo korisnih suradnji i partnerstva.

Nadamo se da će vam se ova promjena svidjeti i da ćete već u veljači zsukati rukave i prijaviti predavanje za proljetno izdanje HrOUG konferencije.

Konferencija će i ove godine biti održana u Rovinju, prekrasnom gradu, biseru istarskog poluotoka s burnom poviješću i prekrasnom sadašnjošću.
Hotel Istra (4*), nalazi se na jednom od najljepših otoka rovinjskog arhipelaga, na otoku Sv. Andrija, samo desetak minuta vožnje brodom iz Rovinja. Moderan dizajn hotela skladno integriran u prirodni okoliš, lijepe šljunčane i stjenovite plaže, očuvana kulturna baština u starom dvorcu, spektakularni wellness centar, kilometri uređene šetnice i puna prometa izolacija čine ovaj hotel jedinstvenim.

CFP – HrOUG 2021

In years before pandemia, HrOUG was organizing the largest gathering of Oracle community in Southeast Europe. Conference had three working days, 80 lecturers and 400 participants.

If you are an IT expert and you have interesting experiences, knowledge and interesting practices and would like to share this with other conference participants, then we invite you to submit your lecture and help us prepare an interesting, up-to-date and useful conference. HrOUG conference participants would be happy to hear you. So do not hesitate, send your proposal.

Format and length of lectures

The official languages ​​of the conference are Croatian and English.

It is preferable the duration of the presentations to be 45 minutes including the time for Q&A.

Lecturers can submit a standard length lecture of 45 minutes. If you need more time to carry out a lecture, there is possibility to have a double length of lectures (90 minutes) or slots for workshops (2-3 hours)

Your contributions are expected no later than Thursday, July 15th, 2021.

The selection of papers will be done permanently as the papers arrive and the lecturers will be notified of the possible acceptance of their work, no later than 14 days after the application.

The final selection of the lecturers must be finished until Sunday, August, 1st, 2021.

 

Obligations and benefits of the lecturer

In the case your lecture proposal is accepted for the conference program, the lecturers are obliged to:

  • prepare a presentation in PPT or PDF format and any accompanying material and send it to the conference organisers at least seven days prior the conference start
  • perform a presentation at a specific time within the conference schedule.
  • send presentations in PDF, ZIP or RAR format after the conference. All works will be posted on conference website.

The lecturers to be admitted to the conference program will receive a free conference pass for the conference. A free conference pass to one speaker per conference presentation, and does not include the cost of travel to the conference and axccommodation cost.

Note: Determine whether you will hold the presentation in Rovinj? If the presentation were to be held online, the organizer would suggest in what form it should be.

Review: HROUG – 2019

Hi all,
This year I had the pleasure to be in HROUG – 2019 in Rovinj/Croatia as a speaker. We had great sessions and speakers in a way I almost felt stupid to be there speaking while I could be watching other sessions… LOL

And what a great event, there was:

  • 4 keynotes
  • 20 Oracle ACE program speakers
  • 10 Oracle Corp. speakers

It was 2 days of sessions on several topics of Oracle stack from people all over the globe. In between, some good timing coffees all day long allowing some great networking time as well. All very organized, well communicated and well-timed.

Thank you Slovenia for receiving me so well and the organization for such a great time and for the opportunity to be among those names.

And a special thank you for my friend sir Davor and the great moments we had!

HrOUG: Croatian Oracle Users Group Conference 2019!

Hello all,

I’m very happy to announce I’ll be at this years Croatia Oracle Users Group annual event, in Rovinj, at Hotel Istra 4, in St. Andrew island. When? October 15-18th.

This is one of 6 events on european Oracle Groundbreakers Tour this year.

Lectures will have 20 speakers from Oracle ACE Program (11 directors, 5 ace, 3 associate, 1 alumni). I’m happy to be one of those 11. 🙂
